Nothing beats the feeling of a new school year. Tom Hanks says it best in You've Got Mail when he talks about the fresh feeling of fall.. crisp leaves, chill in the air, new office supplies!!
Oh, office supplies, how I love thee... new pencils, new binders-- oh, I almost can't contain myself!! The new sharpies with the sharp tip at the end... the first page of a new notebook... the feel of a new Expo marker... these are a few of my favorite things!!!
And my new students... I can't wait to meet them and see how they will impact my teaching. I'm sure I will learn plenty from them. The first day of school is so fun-- learning all about each other and teaching them about our new home together in my classroom.
This next week will be full of educational "firsts"--- and I just love it!
